Technical Rider

This page is provided as a service to technical staff of concert venues and my agents who need to supply this information to them. This means that if you are not a sound technician and don't know what some of these things mean, you probably don't need to.

Please contact me with any questions re. this rider. I am known to be a reasonable man - I just hate surprises. An important thing to note is that the double bass requires more space than a lot of people seem to think - see below.

Please note that I regard safety - physical stage and electrical - as paramount and a prerequisite for any performance and shall not proceed with a show if I see it compromised and not fixed prior to beginning of performance. In this case all cost incurred by cancellation due to safety requirements having not been adhered to shall remain the sole responsibility of the venue/organizer. I have enough electrical engineering background to know the potential consequences of voodoo, such as masked safety grounds, &c, to steer well clear of those.

Any stage pyrotechnics plans for shows must be provided well in advance and approved by me or my agent prior to the show.
